What is a Community?

A community is defined as a cohesive, group of people who are firmly committed to a common goal. 

The MMIS Private Professional Network (PPN) and Network Fortress™ platforms were developed with a core set of principles based on providing a secure platform to facilitate collaboration and professional networking among a cohesive group of people firmly committed to a common goal.

Our Software-as-a-Service platform has the following characteristics and features:

• The Community is built in a private and secure environment
• Members of the Community may create public or private groups
• Members may share information and collaborate with colleagues across functional areas
• Members may create large or small sub-groups within the Community to meeting the overall goals and objectives of the group as well as the Community at large
• Members may network with others based on similar interests
• Ability to store and share various types of data in a secure storage area called a DataRoom
• Groups may collaborate in real-time using live audio and video Chat modules
• Calendars and Events facilitate productive meetings an collaboration opportunities with members who are in different locations all over the world
• Private Forums allow members to collaborate at times that are convenient to individual schedules

As the Community grows and each member collaborates and shares knowledge, ideas, opinions and data our secure and private platform enables all members to feel secure.

As members share data, collaborate on projects, engage in research and consulting and communicate within private or public groups each member has the ability to accelerate problem solving and the development of solutions to reach the group goal in a timelier manner.
