High Traffic on Physicians Professional Network

Physicians are starting to register on the PPN. Increased traffic over the last week indicates physicians are indeed interested in reviewing payments and transfers of value (TOVs) prior to manufacturers’ Phase II submission to CMS.  A survey conducted in 2013 found that 21% of physicians stated they would sever their relationship with manufacturers who reported inaccurate or incorrect information to the government. Physicians are also requesting that the MediSpend® Support Team reach out to companies who are NOT current members of the PPN to request that they begin using the online portal. See example below (the applicable manufacturer and physician’s identity will be kept anonymous):
